In questa guida vedremo come settare MadVR per ottenere la miglior qualità di riproduzione video/audio.

Inizio:

Installate l'ultima versione di CCCP ed aprite MPC-HC.

Andate in “View —> Options —> Playback —> Output” e in “DirectShow Video” selezionate “madVR”.

Configurare madVR:

Aprite un video qualsiasi, cliccate con il tasto destro e selezionate "Filters ---> madVR Renderer ---> Edit Setting"

Nella sezione "devices" in "identification" selezionate il vostro tipo di Display (Nella maggioranza dei casi Digital Monitor / TV), dopodiché andate su "properties" e selezionate l'RGB Level adatto al vostro display, mentre il bitdepth settatelo a 8 or higher.

Ora andate nella sezione "processing", in "decoding" assicuratevi che sia tutto uncheckato, mentre in "deinterlacing" selezionate come nell'immagine:

Andate nella sezione "scaling algorithms", in "chroma upscaling" e "luma upscaling" settate "Spline" e "4 taps", mentre in "luma downscaling" selezionate "Bicubic" e "sharpness: 50".

Dopodiché andate nella sezione "rendering" e in "windowed mode setting" settate come nell'immagine:

Se tutto è andato bene, cliccando CTRL+J dovreste ottenere qualcosa del genere:

Segnalo l'uscita di madVR v0.83.4 che corregge il bug del range RGB limitato con VSFilter, ergo niente più problemi nella riproduzione di Hi444PP.

C'è tutta la discussione (non ho idea se abbia implementato la cosa come mostrato nei primi post o se abbia poi usato un approccio particolarmente diverso, suppongo comunque che bene o male ci si possa comunque fare un'idea del risultato).

Ed ecco che arriva l'unico utente al mondo che se imposta MPC-HC in questo modo non solo gli va più lento ma ha anche una percentuale del 90% di blocco dell'OS.

Non sto scherzando ho fatto tutto come scritto nell'istruzione di H e l l. ma non so come mai il programma si avvia a fatica e come carica il video lo legge peggio di un gira dischi rotto, mentre se lascio quelle di base va, anche se con i video in Hi444PP (come già detto in un altro post) mi rallenta andando a scatti.

E comunque per i pc con scheda video fuffa madvr è sconsigliato.

I VMR fanno cagare il cazzo, btw.

P.S. Come minimo la guida avrebbe imho bisogno di 3 fix.
1) via madFlac, LAV decodifica i FLAC a 24bit da mesi (da sempre?), ovviamente però nessuno si informa e continua a suggerire roba inutile
2) via il dithering a 6bit (nel 90% dei casi fa più male che bene essendo inferiore al temporal dithering del pannello, che può essere anche molto complesso, nel restante 10% fa malissimo (gli ips che non sanno di avere un ips o tutti i *va, anch'essi a 8bit per canale)).
3) Molti pc non sono in grado di reggere Madvr o di reggere Madvr a 1080p, ci vuole almeno un'alternativa.
4) (facoltativo) I source filter imho è abbastanza inutile inserirli come preferred, tutto lavoro in più.

1) Grazie per l'informazione, provvederò a rimuoverlo dalla guida.
2) In realtà nella mia configurazione di Playback lo ho disattivato, ho dimenticato di aggiornare la guida.
3) Ho scritto in alto che la guida non è per tutti, al massimo si può decidere di usare EVR Custom per i PC che non reggono madVR.

Beh, con una configurazione del genere non potrà mai partirti madVR, prova ad usare EVR Custom (E a disabilitare l'accelerazione HW se la hai abilitata).

qual'è la configurazione migliore per madVR?

Io provo questa ma va ogni tanto a scattini:
chroma upscaling; Lanczos; 3 taps; active anti-ringing filter.
image upscaling; Lanczos; 3 taps; active anti-ringing filter.
image downscaling: Lanczos; 3 taps; active anti-ringing filter.
